United Way 5K on the Runway – June 21

 

Join United Way on Saturday, June 21^st at 8am for the 3^rd annual 5K on the Runway at Blue Grass Airport! United Way focuses on education, income and health as building blocks for a good quality of life in order to advance the common good by creating opportunities for a better life for all.

Volunteers are needed for a number of different tasks, including help with parking, course attendants, assisting with the water stations, trash pick-up during and after the event and more. Volunteer shifts start at 6:30 a.m. (some a little later) and all will end well before noon. Email katie.williams@uwbg.org for more information.
 

 

The 5K features chip timing, awards for top three finishers in the male and female category, free t-shirts for all, race photography, music, breakfast concessions, and even an aircraft display! Also, there are lower registration fees this year.
