DART Information Session (Online) - January 28, 2014
The Direct Action & Research Training (DART) Center
will be hosting an information session Tuesday, January 28 at 8pm to discuss
careers in the field of community organizing with students and alumni
interested in empowering communities and working for social change.

DART hires and trains organizers to lead campaigns on a
broad set of justice issues including:
* Plugging the school-to-prison pipeline
* Reining in predatory lending practices
* Expanding access to primary health and dental care
* Prioritizing funding for affordable housing and job
training
* Education reform in low-performing public schools
Placements sites include cities in Florida, Indiana,
Kansas, Kentucky, Ohio, South Carolina, and Virginia. Positions start June 16, 2014. Starting salary $34,000/year + benefits, with
regular performance based raises.
