MLK Day of Service - December 9
In January 2013, Transylvania hosted several community service opportunities for our students as well as the Lexington community. Opportunities ranged from knitting for Special Olympics to playing with children in the Amachi program. It was a great way to make it a day 'on' for our community.
Now is the time to plan for the national day of service. Project leaders may have their own projects in mind, or may take leadership for past project that could be continued, including the Amachi Field Day, the MLK Day Blood Drive (work with Barton Lynch), valentines for the troops, or other projects. If you would like to coordinate a project for this day of service, please contact Karen Anderson, kanderson@transy.edu by December 9.
