Family Science Night at Yates Elementary - April 24

Family Science Night at Yates Elementary - April 24

Volunteers are sought for the 6th annual Family Science Night at Yates Elementary in northeast Lexington. On this night, hundreds of Yates students will bring their parents and siblings back to school to engage in a wide range of fun science activities in the school building and garden. Community science groups of all sorts will also set up booths to share their science expertise with our families. Volunteers are essential to the success of this event.

This year’s Science Night will be held from 5:30 – 7:00 on Thursday, April 24th. Volunteers should plan to arrive at least 15 minutes earlier to get oriented and to beat the parking rush. Most volunteer jobs involve supervising hands-on science activities at tables in the gym. This is a lot of fun for anyone interested in science, children, school gardening, or elementary teaching.
