The Trans* Day of Remembrance - November 22

The Trans* Day of Remembrance seeks to recognize the disproportionate impact of violence on trans* community, connect the Greater Lexington area to resources, and celebrate the lives and resiliency of trans* individuals. Our hope is for you to join us in this night of commemoration and celebration as we share experiences through a candlelight vigil on Old Morrison Steps and share resource illumination fair in the William T. Young Campus Center Gym on November 22 from 5:30 to 8:00 PM. There will be shared experiences and information as well as resources at the event.

Volunteers are needed to prepare small crafts prior to the event, set-up and tear down, candle distribution, photography, and other logistical tasks the night of. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Rayne Parker at bsparker15@transy.edu for more information.
