God’s Pantry Food
Bank is looking for volunteers for its two children’s programs, the Kids Café
and the BackPack Program.

The
Kids Café Program is designed to provide free hot meals and snacks to
low-income children through a variety of community locations where children
congregate – such as community centers, churches, and schools. God’s Pantry
currently has five locations in the Fayette County Community: the 7th
Street Community Center, Embrace Church, St. Luke’s United Methodist Church,
Consolidated Baptist Church, and the West End Community Empowerment Project
(W.E.C.E.P).

The
BackPack Program is designed to provide children with a backpack full of food
items each week to ensure that each child has adequate food during the
weekends. At this time, God’s Pantry is sponsoring 17 locations in Fayette
County alone.
