CARE Service Leaders for 2014-15

Congratulations to the CARE Service Leaders for 2014-15. The following student leaders will represent Transylvania University's Office of Community Service and Civic Engagement, leading service and engagement initiatives in their respected areas:


Paige Caudill, EPCaudill15@transy.edu
CARE Service Leader addressing Systems of Oppression

Working with Sylina, Paige plans to lead projects that will address systems of oppression, including a cell phone drive, support and promotion of tutoring and mentoring, Angel Tree for Salvation Army, and other programs.



Sylina Jett, SNJett15@transy.edu
CARE Service Leader addressing Systems of Oppression

Working with Paige, Sylina plans to lead projects that will address systems of oppression, including a Habitat for Humanity service project, a book drive, and other programs.






Thomas Amburn, TLAmburn15@transy.edu
CARE Service Leader addressing Refugee Resettlement Issues
Thomas will focus on working with Kentucky Refugee Ministries and the United Methodist Committee on Relief. He looks forward to partnering with many campus groups and organizations with similar interests.

CARE Service Leader addressing Promotion of Service
 
Autumn will promote the CARE Service Leader work through the Service Blog, TNotes, and other means of communication. In addition to CARE Service Leader initiatives, she will also promote general service opportunities to campus.  
 



Rachel Sanders, RESanders15@transy.edu
CARE Service Leader addressing Environmental Issues
 
Rachel plans to lead projects that will address environmental concerns. Some of her programs include a tour of the Louisville Brownfields and Urban Gardens, film viewings, reforestation, and a Great American Cleanup.
