 East 7th St. Center Summer AmeriCorps VISTA - Apply ASAP

East 7th St. Center is looking for an AmeriCorps VISTA for the summer. This is a full time (40 hours a week) 8-10 week contract. The AmeriCorps VISTA will advertise, develop and organize an education plan for the summer Early Childhood Education (ECE) program and LEAP literacy hour. This includes recruiting local families of pre-school aged children to participate. The VISTA will also recruit, train and maintain volunteers, and seek additional funding sources to support the East 7th St. Center ECE program. The ECE Program will take place three days a week for two hours a day for five weeks, taking place before the Summer School program. The program will start in the second week of July.

The VISTA will be compensated with a small living stipend and a Segal Education Award upon completion of the term of service. If you are interested, please e-mail east7center@gmail.com for more information.
