7th Annual 2nd Sunday – Oct 12th

7th Annual 2nd Sunday – Oct 12th

Lace up your favorite pair of tennis shoes and explore the proposed route of Lexington’s Legacy Trail! The Legacy Trail is a two-way cycle track (protected bike lane) that will allow bicycle movement in both directions on one side of the road. This pathway, sprawling from Coolavin Park to 4th Street to Isaac Murphy Memorial Art Garden Trailhead at Midland Avenue, will provide a safe place to be physically active in Lexington.

You are invited to walk alone or with a pet, run, rollerblade, bike, skate, or push a stroller through the Trail starting 3:00pm on October 12th and ending at 5:00pm. Additional outdoor family activities will be available at Coolavin Park (550 W Sixth Street) for all ages and abilities.

Already know about the Legacy Trail? Volunteers are needed to help guide people through the Legacy Trail. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Roshni Desai at rdesai@transy.edu or Suzanne Smith at srsmith@email.uky.edu.
