KODA - Sept 15 and 20

KODA - Sept 15 and 20

Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates (KODA) is looking for volunteers for a couple of events:

-On Sunday, September 15 they need 6 volunteers at the downtown, Central Library in Lexington from Noon – 5 pm. This will be a preview party of a documentary film that the library has produced about an art project KODA sponsored at UK about organ donation and transplantation.  Volunteers will act as ushers, greeters and support staff.  They need to wear flat shoes, ‘church clothes’, and be willing to turn off their cell phones for the time they are volunteering.  They are looking for volunteers with outgoing personalities, a willingness to work to do what needs to be done,  and at the same time, have fun.

-On Friday, September 20, they need 5-6 volunteers to help with the Lexington Gallery Hop at the Central Library, downtown Lexington, from 3:30 pm-9 pm.  The Gallery Hop exhibit will include the 8 paintings featured in the documentary, displayed on the second floor of the library. Volunteers will help by setting up the artwork, setting up the finger food, serving, cleaning up and acting as greeters and directing visitors to the exhibit.  Casual dress, willingness to turn off cell, and ability to get the job done are expected of all volunteers.

For more information or to volunteer, contact Charlotte Wong, Education Coordinator for KODA, 967-2909 or c.wong@kodaorgan.org
