Lexington Habitat for Humanity - Ongoing Needs
 
 
Lexington Habitat for Humanity has the following volunteer needs:

Construction: Volunteers are needed on most Fridays and Saturdays in February, March and April from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. We plan to build five homes by June 30, so several builds will be starting in the next few months.

Shamrock Shuffle 3K: This is our biggest fundraising event of the year with more than 2,000 participants, and we need 150 volunteers make it a success. Volunteers are needed on the following dates and shifts:

  • Saturday, March 8: Volunteers will pre-register participants at the Habitat ReStore, 451 Southland Drive. Available shifts are 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., 1-5:30 p.m. and 5-7:30 p.m. Lunch and dinner are provided by Raising Cane's.

  • Friday, March 14: Volunteers will pre-register participants at the Habitat ReStore and then help set up for the race at the Lexington Center in the final shift. Available shifts are 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., 1-5:30 p.m. and 5-9 p.m. Lunch and dinner are provided by Raising Cane's.

  • Saturday, March 15: On race day, volunteers assist with greeting and registering participants, setting up the race course and cleaning up after the race from 6-10 a.m. There is also an early shift for volunteers who want to participate in the race. A light breakfast and refreshments will be provided.
